GWC/UHM

Born in Lakenheath, England and came to the United States when I was 3. I’ve been doing my music now for over 13 years. I started in 05 in the town of Malone, NY when my man Smoke of Smoke-Out Music put me in my first home-based recording studio. From that point on I was hooked. I put out my first 5 track demo within a few months of my first recording of Life of a Gangsta. Within weeks my fan base was in the hundreds. As time went on I started writing for my first album The Next Evalution which held 15 tracks and no features. I eventually learned how to record myself and to write my own beats and started buying my own equipment. After a year went by of writing my album I had to decide what I was going to call my record label. Originally GWC stood for The Great Wall of China (inside joke for the ladies) but I knew this wouldn’t work. I eventually met up with this rapper who I thought was a good dude at the time Lunatic. Together we started writing tracks with his friend Scrappy and wrote a 13 track album which never got released. They are now formally known as OT and Gutta Boy and we no longer associate ourselves as friends. They were from Baton Rouge and taught me a lot about down south style rapping. It was here when I created GWC Records aka The Gangstaz Wit Charm. It became a catchy name and eventually was spreading through towns and cities quickly. I was now known as Bam Bam of GWC. With a little patients and time and hard grinding of my mixtapes I landed myself on the radio station 94.7 Hits FM. They played my song I'm Bam off my mixtape The Next Evalution which at that time was the biggest song I had ever done. Within a few hours after my first air play my fan base grew enormously. In 2007 I ended up back in Rome, NY and was working on a mixtape to be released here for the city to see who I was. I re-recorded The Next Evalution and released it and the new mixtape Get Money featuring local artists PK who is later known as Da Hook, Bricks, AG, and Vice who joined GWC Records; as well as Rudie, Taryn, and 12 Gage. Within a few months we released another mixtape which was known as I'm Back Better Than Ever introducing H aka Hallow Tip who also joined GWC Records, as well as D-Rugz, Rebecca and a spot light for a female rapper known as Jazzy-J. H and I decided to do a mixtape which was known as Us & Them. This mixtape featured new artists who were known as Flip and Menor. After the 4 mixtapes had started circulating around I started producing other local artist mixtapes such as Juice Street (Mixtape Don Diva), Mr. Eastside Tye (Mixtape The Red Print) and Fly Beau (Mixtape Insight Visionz).
I have released 2 albums in which I have leased my beats from the company Shadowville in NYC. Dirty Hammers was a 17 track album featuring artist such as AOL, Universal, Finesse, Da Hook, Bricks, B-Millz, E Double, and Audree. With all the material I had been working on and producing my man Zed Black aka Shaft Black who runs AIS Productions did a colab with me on a mixtape called Around Da World, beats leased from Shadowville. He and I then decided to take our labels and put them together to make UHM Underground Hub Music. Around Da World featured only 1 artist GA. In Jan 2011 I released a new album called Hood Success again beats leased from Shadowville in which I featured artists Zed Black, GA, Fly Beau, Mr. Eastside Tye and Bizzie Gunnz as well Heather. I have had my material played in a Utica strip club Teasers and have been on 94.7 Hits FM. I have had material played in Canada clubs and Rome Clubs as well. I have done performances in two different places in Utica, this bar The Dog House and Rock Wit Us Records studio. I have earned the title as the number 1 engineer in Rome NY. Created in 2005, licensed in 2009.
